TX_MONITOR_REQUEST

In order to obtain more timely presence information for a user on you contact list than can be obtained by periodic polling of his ONLINE property, you can request to be registered as a contact's monitor. To do this, your client must send a TX_MONITOR_REQUEST message to the contact.

The format for a TX_MONITOR_REQUEST message is:

TX_MONITOR_REQUEST tag address

where

tag	is a unique label for this message and
address	is the address of the user for whom you wish to become a monitor.

If your contact accepts you as a monitor, his server will attempt to notify you whenever his on-line status changes.

Sending this message will cause the other client to receive an RX_MONITOR_REQUEST message.
