Charlton Rose, a.k.a. "Sharky," graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master's degrees in Computer Science. Just before entering the graduate program, he went on an internship to Japan, where he served as the "imported American internet expert" for a large shipping company. It was there that Sharky began work on his famous Netscape Frames tutorial. Although his tutorial was originally intended as an internal training resource, it was soon discovered that no other tutorial on the web addressed the topic with the same detail and clarity. The first edition of Netscape Frames was published in 1995. It has been a publically available resource ever since.
